Reader/Senior Lecturer posts in urban research, Department of Geography, King’s College London

Two positions for reader/senior lecturer in urban geography are now available in the Department of Geography, King’s College London.


The Department of Geography is looking to recruit two staff at senior lecturer and/or reader level working in urban research in any part of the world. The Cities Group in the Department comprises  12 academic staff and also includes a thriving postgraduate community. The Group’s interests include urban social and economic inequality, health and wellbeing; comparative urbanisation with an emerging interest in the global South; understanding informational and financial flows within and between cities, and the use and representation of urban space.  Scholars working in both contemporary urban research as well as in historical fields will be considered. The positions are aimed both at strengthening these core interests and in extending them. Scholars from geography or allied social sciences and humanities-based disciplines are encouraged to apply.

The closing date for applications is 17th April with interviews scheduled for 7th May.
