The Department of Cultural Studies and Philosophy in the National University of “Ostroh Academy” organises the international interdisciplinary conference “Culture in the Horizon of Stable and Liquid Identity”. This conference is a forum held every year where academics and researchers meet and exchange knowledge and insights concerning the cross-disciplinary field of cultural identity. They discuss various aspects, contexts and problems of European and Ukrainian identities. The following questions and problems will be discussed: Modern and postmodern strategies of identity; Problems of identity in the modern Ukraine; Nationalism in the epoch of supernationality; The identity of Foreign and “foreign” identities in Europe; Topos of the Small Motherland; Problems of religious identity; Problems of political identity.
