Urban commons: Moving beyond state and market

The Georg Simmel Center for Metropolitan Research’s newly grounded Urban Research Group is pleased to announce the call for papers for their symposium in September 2013 “Urban commons: Moving beyond state and market”. The symposium ,which will take place on the 27th & 28th of  September 2013 at the Humboldt University in Berlin will address the recent interest in the politics of the commons from an urban perspective. Various aspects of urban commons, as well as their role in existing and emergent urban struggles, will be addressed in 6 thematic panels. Abstracts of 300-500 words should be submitted to gsz.urbancommons@gmail.com by March 28th, 2013.
